Loved our stay here! Just 20 minutes northeast of Hofn, right on HWY 1, this is a great spot to spend a night if you are doing the Ring Road. The host/owner was very warm and welcoming. She went over all of the various food items for breakfast with us, a great personal touch. Her family recipe skyr was the best I had in Iceland during our 9 day trip, and I tried a ton. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay at this guesthouse. The cabin room looked to be quite new. It was very well set up, clean and had large windows looking out at the countryside and is very private...only sheep to be seen.|The owners were very friendly and have a coffee machine for self serve expresso, lattes, hot chocolate to use whenever you want.|They served an amazing spread for breakfast of all homemade food including pates, jams, dried and cured meats, breads and a very tasty tuna salad which we loved.|We would highly recommend staying at this guesthouse.

What a fabulous place! Check in was easy. Owners are so nice and helpful. The room / cabin was cozy and very comfortable. They also have a common room where check in is located - there's Coffee / Tea available all day and we sat in there and played cards for a while. But the true highlight was breakfast - Owner makes absolutely fabulous Skyr and Jams. We would love to come stay in the winter to see the Northern Lights - it would be a perfect location. Note there are no dinner options close by, but the Guest House is so worth the drive. Highly recommend this location!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, modern and quiet (the only neighbors are sheep). Breakfast was fantastic, with a wonderful spread of homemade food, including skyr, bread, jams and other local delicacies. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved chatting with them and they were very helpful with recommendations. The common area is very inviting and has a machine for making hot drinks: a nice way to unwind after a day of sight-seeing was to make a hot chocolate and play cards in the common area. The only drawback is that it's about a 20 minute drive into Höfn (which has the only restaurants in the area). But everything else more than makes up for this. We were sorry to leave, but will absolutely stay again!

Hrafnavellir Guest House is an amazing place to stay. The quality of the room, the cleanliness, and the view are second to none. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a European continental spread including Icelandic favorites (the carrot hummus was ridiculously good). I was so eager to dig in that I forgot to take photos. I only wish we had longer to stay. It was a perfect location off the ring road.

Unique cabin experience! Friendly-family run, she spent extra time with us for recommendations on places to eat on the east side and fjord areas and she was spot on! The cabins as I call them are spacious, clean and comfy beds. We stayed for three nights and experienced everything from 70 mph winds to warm, calm sunshine. Breakfast consists of homemade breads, jams, boiled eggs, coffee, juices and light fluffy yogurt. Great base for exploring the east side of Iceland!

My wife and I stayed here in Jun. 2025 and had a wonderful time. Aside from having great views and a feeling of being alone in nature, the room was top notch and the property owners/managers are a delight.||We had one of our best sleeps during our Iceland journey here, and it was by far our favorite breakfast - the homemade jam was tremendous!||The location is convenient if you are doing a trip around the country, yet far enough from other towns that you really feel a sense of peace here. I would highly recommend this as a stop for any traveler.

Wir würden am liebsten 100 Sterne geben!!!!!! Es geht nicht besser!!!! Man wird so herzlich empfangen, alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts und es ist alles im mehr als perfekten Zustand! Das war bei unserer 14 tägigen Rundreise die mit Abstand beste Unterkunft!!!! Die Häuschen sind der Wahnsinn! Sie sind super nett und qualitativ hochwertig eingerichtet - es fehlt an nichts - außer vielleicht an Zeit um es gebührend zu genießen! 😉 Der Ausblick ist der WAHNSINN!!!! Die beiden Betreiber - man muss sie einfach mögen, um nicht zu sagen lieb haben! Es wird mit so viel Hingabe das Frühstück erklärt - einfach toll!!!! Und das Frühstück ist auch toll!!!! Wir wären so gerne länger geblieben! Aber das holen wir nach!!!!
