Great hotel on an incline overlooking the Myvatn Lake. Our room had a standing room only balcony (still very good to have). Restaurant... dinners good and breakfasts excellent. Bartender and all staff very helpful and knowledgeable, especially regarding area and roads. Bar area large and comfortable. Rooms are spacious. Restaurant has a VERY large wall of windows to see the sunsets and the lake area.

Was a nice and comfortable stay. All the facilities had a great view of the lake and surrounding area.

The room itself was well furnished and comfortable. We got our own mini deck as well that opened out toward the lake. Was a warm a sunny day when we arrived.

No hot springs, but has a cool sauna on the 3rd floor. The sauna itself has a window looking out over the lake, along with a balcony and some comfortable seating from which to enjoy the view after a heat session. This sauna was awesome and got super hot.

The restaurant was classy. Probably the most luxurious part of the facilities. Large windows overlook the lake, and the quality of the food was excellent. Super fresh and delicious.

We only stayed 1 night but felt well rested the next day.

This hotel is beautifully located with priceless views. Rooms very comfortable. Strangely there are not the usual toiletries. There is only one container that is supposed to be body, hair and conditioner. For the price of $300+ we would at least expect some toileteries. Otherwise, great. Don't forget to use the lovely sauna with more priceless views. Service was excellent. Just be sure to take your own toiletries.

Great location with superb views over Myvatn and the mountains. Good, quiet relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were freindly and helpful providing good service. The food was good with a reasonable choice. There is plenty to do and see in the area making this a great base for a couple of nights.

This is my second time visiting Fosshótel Mývatn and I could not recommend it more. Services, food and drinks are all top notch. The rooms are immaculate. There is an incredible sauna on the third floor that you can access until 10pm and the happy hour deals at the hotel bar are an excellent deal.

The hotel has an excellent view and location is super . The hotel has room service which is exhorbitantly pricey. The bed linen is average . No charging point near the bed . Bathroom is clean and spacious. The furniture is very modern. The staff is cooperative and friendly.

The room was comfortable and the views were pretty, but overall this was not our favorite stop along the Ring Road. There was a completely naked male guest in the co-ed sauna. Breakfast is not included, and so we paid for it and were disappointed with how overrun it was with the bus tourists that were visiting. When we went to check out, they said we had a charge for food and drinks the night before. This was not from us, so we had to dispute it with the reception desk. They did not charge us, but it still left us feeling meh about our stay.

Das Hotel war sehr schön, mit einem grandiosen Ausblick in Richtung Myvatn. Das Zimmer war auch sehr gut und sauber (wir hatten Seeblick!), aber mit dem Nachteil, dass sich das Zimmer bei Sonnenschein tagsüber aufheizt und dann ohne Klimaanlage mit einem relativ kleinen Fenster nur schwer abkühlen lässt. Bei einem Hotel in der Preisklasse sollte das besser konzipiert sein. Sonst sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man den Preis akzeptiert.
