A disappointing and pricy experience. Absolutely not recommend. (Gamla Guesthouse). They are making easy money with an old facility.

There was no prior information that check-in had to be done at a hotel 400 meters away. The room was extremely small and unsuitable for two people with luggage. There were few places to store or hang belongings. One lamp had a cable but no outlet. The sink was so small that washing hands was barely manageable, rinsing your mouth was difficult, and filling a small water bottle was impossible. The shower drain was clogged, the curtains didn’t properly block out light, and the smoke detector blinked constantly. Additionally, a faulty fire alarm went off. The bathroom/toilet was also very small.

On the positive side, the room was clean, the hotel reception staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was nice with a view, though it was served at the same hotel 400 meters away.

Cute and quaint old home with very satisfactory accommodations.

We stayed just one night in Ísafjordur and really enjoyed this location. It’s near the main area of shops and food, but it’s a couple blocks removed.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, community bathrooms were just fine. There is a kitchen to use downstairs and plenty good WiFi. We also appreciated the sitting rooms in different corners of the home.

Because it’s an older house, stairs squeak and doors down close super quiet. But it wasn’t a big deal!

Check in was at Hotel Logn just down the way (same owner) and was super easy. Breakfast was also at Hotel Logn which was great.

Sanitaires et toilettes communs, un cauchemar.

Very nice and comfortable guesthouse. Shared facilities (toilets, showers, kitchen) were always nice and clean. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Not exceptional, but definitely good breakfast just a few minutes walk away. Definitely recommend this guesthouse. The prices seem generally to be very high in the area, and before that background the price was acceptable.

Cool "Old" guesthouse in the heart of Isafjordur. Had to go down the street a few blocks to get checked in but it gave us the opportunity to see the city. Rooms were clean and tidy and the shared bathroom were also clean and tidy. There was a shared bathroom for every two bedrooms. The free breakfast was located in the hotel where we checked in and was very good. Loved the stay.

Fabulous quaint guesthouse. The beds were comfy, everything clean, the bathrooms and showers were never busy and the kitchen had the needed items for basic cooking. The wifi was fine, each bed had a plug. Parking was in the street and in busy season is likely a disaster but we arrived earlier than most do and had zero issues. Breakfast had a variety of choices and was certainly good. The photos look like the rooms. The room was spacious.|Cons: Check in is at a different location and so is breakfast. I didn't get very hot water out of the shower at night but it was hot enough.

Stayed here after getting back from a 4-night backpacking trip at Hornstrandir. Had a private room with two twin beds and a shared bathroom. Bathroom was clean and the rooms were pretty basic. Sink in the room as well. The window does face a bar/restaurant but it never got loud to bother me. Only downside was the floor was really really squeaky. I felt bad for the people underneath me. Don't know if it bothered them or if it was loud but I was careful with my steps. You don't check in here, you check in at Hotel Isafjordur. The reception desk is at the bar in the restaurant. Weird, but everything went smoothly.

Ontbijt was in het hotel 5 minuten lopen verderop, was een goed uitgebreid ontbijt. De kamer en het gedeelde sanitair op de gangen waren schoon maar veel is kapot of beschadigd. Gordijntjes hadden scheuren, kozijnen waren aan onderhoud toe en in de vloerbedekking zaten vlekken. De kamer indeling is wat bijzonder met 2 aparte bedden aan beide zijde van de kamer 1 bed. Hebben de indeling daarom zelf even wat gezelliger gemaakt.
