Esperienza indimenticabile a Húsavík con Gentle Giants. Partenza in gommone dopo una preparazione accurata dello staff, che ti aiuta a indossare l’equipaggiamento in sicurezza. La nostra guida Clara è stata coinvolgente e simpatica, il capitano davvero esperto. Siamo stati fortunati: abbiamo visto balene, delfini e puffin a pochi metri da noi. Non sempre l’avvistamento è garantito, ma in caso contrario offrono gratuitamente un’altra uscita: un dettaglio che dimostra serietà e professionalità. Emozione pura, consigliatissimo a chiunque visiti l’Islanda.

Unforgettable experience in Húsavík with Gentle Giants. The tour starts on a speedboat after a thorough preparation, with staff helping you get geared up safely. Our guide Clara was engaging and fun, and the captain was truly skilled. We were lucky enough to spot whales, dolphins and puffins just a few meters away. Sightings are not always guaranteed, but if you don’t see anything they offer another trip for free — a clear sign of professionalism and reliability. Pure excitement, highly recommended to anyone visiting Iceland.

Ottimo tour con cui ho avuto la possibilità di vedere delle megattere nuotare nella baia di Husavik.
L'escursione è durata 3 ore, forniscono tuta e impermeabile a tutti i partecipanti e il tour consiste nel navigare nella baia alla ricerca di balene e megattere che si recano lì per cibarsi.
La guida di nome Fabio ha dato parecchie informazioni sui cetacei.

Fantastic Experience and worth every dollar. We booked same day for the 9:30pm tour. I would suggest booking in advance to make sure you get your desired time. We arrived early and suited up with the overalls and life jacket going over the experience. Our guide Dimitra was fantastic always explaining what was going on and some facts about the whales / dolphins as we saw them. The speed boat was amazing, we did not feel any seasickness at all ( I know this also depends on the ocean as well). Our captain safely guided us around a small pod of dolphins for some time before moving us towards the island where puffins were. This was incredible. We then found 3 separate humpback whales. Due to the size of the boat we were able to get extremely close without disturbing the animals. This tour has a maximum of 12 people on it which is the perfect size. I also would like to mention that the staff does truly care for these animals and does their best as to not disturb the whales in their natural habitat. Overall, this was one of the best experiences of my life and I'm sure I will never stop talking about it. It is worth every dollar so if you can do the RIB boat tour I would highly recommend doing it. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!!!!

It was a fun experience!
We chose a fast boat with half stating seats. While our friend was on a regular boat. Time varies as speed boat is well… faster.
We were taken to a puffin island! Amazing! Thousands of puffins!
Then we were chasing whales! The team always kept a safe distance so that’s good.
We were given special clothes- very useful plus put on war layers under as it’s cold and gets windy. Waterproof boots is a plus.
Also we got a 10% discount from our hotel.

Gentle Giants in Húsavík offers an excellent whale and puffin watching experience. For an unforgettable encounter, I highly recommend their RIB boat tour over the traditional boat. The RIB allows for closer, more thrilling proximity to the whales, truly enhancing the viewing experience. While puffin watching is an option, the whale tour is undoubtedly the highlight.

The staff and guides are exceptional, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort. Their detailed explanations about whale behavior and local marine life are incredibly informative, enriching the entire trip. Gentle Giants provides warm overalls, which are a thoughtful addition. However, even with them, I strongly advise bringing your own layers, including a warm jacket, hat, and good quality, insulated gloves. The North Atlantic can be surprisingly chilly, even on sunny days. Prepare accordingly for maximum enjoyment!

We had an amazing tour a few days ago!! The day was clear, the sun was shinning, not too hot, not too cold. I tried the speed boat for the first time, and now I don't ever want the normal boat again! It was so much fun, and adrenaline! We started by seeing a pod of pilot whales, which is a very rare sighting, according to our guide! It was a fairly big group, with animals ranging different ages and sizes. Then thousands of puffins, all around the puffin island and around the boat. And we got some Humpback whales giving out a show, even surfacing near the boat. They are so majestic, everyone was in awe of them!!
Big shout out to the crew, Bea and Jo, for making this tour unforgettable, for all the information about wildlife, for Bea's vibrant energy (Portuguese power!! 😄) and Jo's amazing boat driving skills!! Best day ever!! I'm coming back soon! ❤️

We had an amazing evening ride with Gentle Giants on an RAB and loved it! The water was calm, the sunset beautiful and we saw 4 humpback whales! Our captain and guide were friendly and informative. Highly recommend!!! I took videos of the whales but here are some photos of the other sites.

Die Tour mit Gentle Giants war ein tolles Erlebnis! Obwohl das Meer recht unruhig war und das Boot stark geschaukelt hat, hat das der Stimmung keinen Abbruch getan – im Gegenteil, es hat die Fahrt sogar noch spannender gemacht.

Ein großer Pluspunkt: Es waren nur wenige Teilnehmer an Bord, was für eine entspannte Atmosphäre und viel Platz zum Beobachten sorgte.

Die bereitgestellten Overalls waren super – warm, bequem und in vielen Größen erhältlich (von XS bis XXXL), sodass wirklich für alle etwas Passendes dabei war.

Wir hatten das Glück, einige Wale zu sehen – ein beeindruckendes und bewegendes Erlebnis. Das Team war freundlich, professionell und hat interessante Infos über die Tiere und die Umgebung geteilt.

Insgesamt eine rundum gelungene Tour. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die Wale in ihrer natürlichen Umgebung erleben möchten!
