Infinity-pool, Nature Style. You go into the hot spring water pool (and then the ocean for a cold rush if that's for you)! No chlorine, the water is renewed all the time.

Part of the experience is the cold facilities when you change into your swimsuits. Otherwise there is a nearby swimming pool with "ordinary" changing facilities.

We spotted whales jumping out of the water at the horizon. Amazing!

It’s worth it! If you doubt, just do it! You won’t be disappointed! IMPORTANT TO KNOW: WEAR DARK SWIMSUIT, otherwise small stones and black sand can scratch your colorful/white swimsuit when you are sitting on the side of the bath or inside and they can’t be removed afterwards..so I have to throw my newly bought swimsuit after that bathing..the only disadvantage.

You can’t find better place to have true Icelandic experience..chilling in hot thermal water (appx.+40C) at the upper level and then plunging into the ocean (+12C) was truly a HIGHLIGHT of my experience in August 2023.
Changing rooms are pretty simple and cold, you can leave some clothes there (not under supervision) or take it all with you and with other valuables. WC is in separate building next to the cashier (no sockets for hairdryer). You can rent swimsuits, bathrobes, swimming shoes and towels there. Showers outside only (pay attention, really hot water).
Visit on a weekday as it is crowded with locals at weekends.
Free parking just 5-7min walk.

So many good things about this bath: cost, accessibility, location. The main pool is an infinity pool overlooks the beach below, and temperature is nice and warm.

DIRECTIONS

Park between the arena and the football field. Then walk down the foot path behind the arena. Walk past the playground. Keep walking. The baths are in a small cement block between the beach and the athletics field.

EXPERIENCE

This is not a tourist attraction! It's mostly locals here. If you have a choice you might want to avoid going on weekends when it is most busy. It's not the best view in Iceland as you are looking out towards an industrial area. But it's a great experience. Note that if you plan on plunging in the ocean after your hot bath, the walk to the water is a bit longer when the tide is out.

There are changing rooms. Bring your own towel.

Fantastic ocean view at this geothermal pool. 500 ISK per person is really worth it.
We visit on winter and the water temperature is just good enough!

Small concrete hotpot viewing the sea. Has facilities near by to change. Price 500 ISK.

It is very basic (and not expensive) but nothing can beat the feeling of sitting in a 40° C pool while looking at the ocean (and eventually taking a dip in it even)

Cool! Opening hours are from 12-20 or till 18. I dont really like the Opening hours, I think it at least should open earlier. However when u come when its closed you can still get into water on the lower level (wont be that warm tho, but not cold). Its totally free, you can store your things beside, there are two levels, with a great view on Atlantic ocean and its also not really crowded. There are also free outside showers with warm water. You can also go to ocean afterwards and when u come back the water its even warmer and going outside it doesnt make u feel cold anymore. Recomending but you surely have to try a real natural one, its totally different experience!
