This hotel is in a great location and seems like the perfect place to rest after a long drive on Iceland’s icy roads. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

There was plenty of parking available, with both front and back access to the hotel, which was very convenient. Despite only a few guests staying that night, the breakfast was fresh, varied, and constantly replenished.
A special touch we loved was the beautiful wooden reindeer at the hotel entrance adding to the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very nice experience at this hotel. The town is so cute and the views are stunning. I saw the northern lights here for the first time out the window of my hotel room and drove 5 minutes outside the city to really get the full experience. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant and bar downstairs were great!

Quiet and comfortable. Rooms are spacious with everything you need. The room we stayed in had a loud whistle due to the air movement under the door, however a couple of extra towels and a bag stopped the noise, the hotel offered to change our room but we were satisfied with this solution. Breakfast selection was great, I had a cocktail the night before and almost went bankrupt with the price. Would stay again.

This is the best hotel we stay throughout our round trip in Iceland. It deserves a 5 stars hotel instead. Room was very comfortable and clean. Great view. It’s a convenient spot. We didn’t opt for breakfast.

Convenient hotel, rooms are OK but a bit run down, and a bad smell of sewage made us change of room (receptionist were very helpful with this) however the second room was quite smelly as well…
Diner was a joke, with a waiter (Antony) not very welcoming, as we asked to eat from the bar menu (reception informed us earlier that is was no problem) we had to insist to get this menu from him.
He and the chef finally agreed to serve us this menu, but as a kind of “revenge” decided to serve us last in the restaurant (3 tables arrive long after us but got served far before us)
Breakfast was OK.
Could have been a OK experience but the diner and the smell really affected the quality of the stay.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hérað - Berjaya Iceland Hotels war einfach perfekt! Schon beim Check-in wurden wir vom freundlichen Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption herzlich empfangen. Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade erhalten, da ich Geburtstag hatte – eine wundervolle Überraschung, die unseren Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht hat.

Ein toller Service ist auch die Benachrichtigung direkt aufs Zimmer, wenn Polarlichter zu sehen sind – ein wirklich einmaliges Erlebnis!

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt! 5 Sterne! 🌟

Für einmal ein "normales" Hotel in Island, wie man sie überal auf der Welt findet. Weniger Scharm, aber gut in Schuss. Wir hatten ein sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer mit Blick Richtung Sonnenuntergang und über den grossen See. Das Frühstücksbuffet war abwechslungsreich und hat uns gut geschmeckt. Der Frühstücksraum war angenehm gross und hell.

Zentral in Egilsstaðir gelegen an der Ringstraße 1. Gute saubere Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Dazu Polarlichter vor dem Fenster. Gerne wieder!
