Over de locatie van deze huisjes valt niks te zeggen. Je kan er alle kanten op in het zuiden van IJsland.
De service en start van de huisjes is helaas een ander verhaal. Het huisje was bij aankomst smerig en bij navraag zou het wel zijn schoongemaakt. Wij verstaan onder schoonmaak niet dat de boter resten nog in de pan zitten, oven zo smerig dat daar echt geen eten in gaat en dat de spinnenwebben tegen de muren zitten.
Gelukkig wisten de eigenaren van de kapotte koelkast en ontbrekende rookmelders al enige tijd af. Jammer dat ze er dan niks aan hebben gedaan. De start van de bbq was de kers op de taart, zoals de foto laat zien.
Gelukkig waren de eigenaren snel ter plaatste en zouden we zelf de vaat afwassen en zij de rest de andere dag regelen als wij erop uit waren.
Jammer dat ik dat niet is nagekomen. Huisje nr. 4 staat zeker niet meer op ons lijstje van acceptabel.
Update na 2 dagen: eigenaresse blijkt volgens receptioniste in Duitsland te wonen en de medewerkster van het hotel krijgt niet de middelen om goed onderhoud te doen. Zelf kwam ze in haar vrije tijd wel extra schoonmaken. Aan haar zal het niet liggen.

Sejour en mars 2025 dans le chalet 1
Nous étions 2 personnes , le chalet est convivial et chaleureux .
Il est super bien placé pour visiter le cercle d'or, et visiter le sud de l'Islande. Il y a un supermarché et station service à 5 min et une piscine municipale superbe ( eau à 40 degrés)
Cependant c'est vraiment petit ,pour 2 c'est bien mais à 4...La literie n'est pas là plus confortable et l'ameublement est un peu vieillot ...
La cuisine est équipé faiblement mais nous avons réussi à cuisiner quand même.
Le gros plus c'est le bain nordique ( hot tube) mais sur une semaine on a pu l'utiliser que 2 jours à cause de problème technique...
Je n'ai aucune idée si tous les chalets sont pareils à l'intérieur.
Et surtout nous avons vu des aurores boréales depuis le chalet , crédit incroyable !!!!!!
Malgré la route a proximité c'est calme tt la vie est superbe

We booked the Cottage, for two nights at the End of our Iceland Trip to have a cozy time.
What we got was a cold and unwelcome Cottage.
The Phone number which is mentioned in Hotels.com is not valid, the whole day we tried to reach out to the Cottage for check in. At the End when we arrived we searched in the Neighborhood and got a phone number to call.

As there was an ongoing pipeline work we had not warm water and no well working heaters. We had to stay at felt minus degreases without heater. The woman from the reception wanted to bring us an electrical heater, but nobody came.
When we called her the next day to ask, she was just laughing and telling us that she forgot it.
Incredible.

Also the Whirlpool was not usable.
These kind of stuff can happen, but we would expect to be informed at least. So that we can decide if we still want to come or not.

All in all it was a really bad Experience.

Had a lovely stay. The views are beautiful and the cabins are clean and comfy. We had excellent customer service, the staff had forgotten to make the sofa bed in the small cottage for us but quickly realized at check in and upgraded us to the large cabin free of charge. It's helpful to have fridge and ability to cook meals. For those wondering large cabin had teakettle, toaster, stovetop, oven, mini fridge and sink. Very basic pots, pans, dishes. Hot tub was clean and nice bonus!

We loved these cottages! This was our favorite stay of our trip to Iceland. The view and surroundings were stunning! The cottages were spaced apart nicely and felt private, not crammed together like some other rentals we stayed in. The cottages had character and it felt like an authentic Iceland experience. We enjoyed the midnight sun from our private deck. Lovely place!

Obsługa miła i stwarzająca pozory pomocnej. Lokalizacja dobra, cicho i spokojnie. Domki fajnie usytuowane. Ale...można by się przyczepić do czystosci, grill w stanie agonalnym,brudny i w pierwszej chwili niedziałający, hot pot to samo tak więc po uzdatnieniu grilla do użycia, zlokalizowaniu usterki elktrycznej ( po jaką cholere wpinać wszystko w niedziałający przedłużacz?) Wyczyszczeniu lodówki z której wylało się wiadro wody i wypadlo parę kilo lodu już miałem się zabierać za poprawki stolarskie ale przypomniałem sobie że to ja płacę za domek a nie mnie za naprawy... sporo zaniedbań.

The accommodation, unfortunately, was not well-maintained. There were some cobwebs in the room, and the oven was dirty. When we turned on the toaster, the entire fuse in the house blew out. Additionally, there was no hot water at the beginning, but the landlord resolved the issue as quickly as possible. Moreover, the landlord was easily reachable by phone and very friendly. From the outside, the cottage looks inviting. Nevertheless, it's sufficient for a short trip, especially if you're planning to visit the nearby attractions in one or two days.

Afgelopen voorjaarsvakantie hier een aantal dagen verbleven. De locatie van het huisje is goed, de golden circle en andere bezienswaardigheden zijn vanuit hier goed te bezoeken en ook supermarkt etc. zijn in de buurt. Het huisje / de inventaris is volledig en de hottub is heerlijk. Af en toe kan je bezoek verwachten van de honden van de eigenaren
